Our beautiful new 12 million dollar music building with the Richard Shindell Choral Rehearsal Hall. Brahms Requiem in Princeton in October. Tarik O’Regan’s “The Spring” from Acalleam na Senorach with the fabulous Rutgers University Kirkpatrick Choir in November. My TWENTIETH Christmas in Carol and Song at Rutgers University ! Conducting Messiah at Lincoln Center with the Riverside Choral Society Rutgers Glee Club performs at ACDA in Baltimore in February Rutgers Glee Club hosts the Intercollegiate Men’s Chorus National Conference at Rutgers Conducting Stravinsky’s Oedipus Rex and the Schwantner Percussion Concerto with the Rutgers University Symphony Orchestra and my fabulous men from Rutgers . Mozart Requiem and Britten Cantata Misericoridium in the Spring with the Riverside Choral Society! Guest Conducting at my Alma Mater California State University East Bay ( Cal State Hayward to my generation) – Beethoven Choral Fantasy with the choirs and orchestra of CSUEB in June to celebrate the retirement of Ellen Wasserman (who joined the faculty when I was a freshman.) I might need a week at the beach after that! But I still feel young and energized by the talented people with whom I work.
