Looking to rehome Betsey Please no rude comments Betsey is a beautiful Sheltie mix looking for a place to call home. My friends grandmother went into the nursing home and they were going to take Betsey to the shelter. Well I couldnt let that happen so I decided to take her in. Shes been with me for almost 2 years and still has not integrated into our family. We have 2 other dogs and she does not get along with them at all. She is food aggressive and really doesnt care for her own kind. She needs to be in a home where she is the only dog, and can get the one on one attention she deserves. She would be the perfect dog for an older person or retired couple. Betsey is potty trained and has never had an accident in the house. She does not do well in a kennel, she gets very nervous and upset. I leave her out to roam the house when Im gone and she is always perfectly behaved. Betsey does not do well with children under the age of 5, mostly because they love to pull her hair. She tolerates older children, but would do best in a home with no kids. She is an excellent guard dog, and will alert you as soon as someone steps foot on your property. She a very sweet natured dog who loves to talk to you. Its the funniest thing when she really gets going. She needs a decent sized home and a fenced in backyard (no apartments). She does well on a leash. Her estimated age is 5-6 years old. My friends grandmother found her as a young stray so were not completely sure of her age. I have an appointment for her yearly shots on Friday, so she will be UTD on her veterinary care. She is also spayed. Im heartbroken that I have to find her another home, but I want to do whats best for her, and that is a home where she is an only child. Im not charging a rehoming fee, but I would like to meet anyone interested in her so I know shes going to a good home.
