Looks like I have a new project. Ive seen quotes from Wallace Delois Wattles floating on my Facebook news feed and he apparently used christian principles as his base. He was an advocate of New Thought which has its roots in the occultists beliefs in the The Law of Attraction. This is typical 1 John 2:15-17 stuff but since most christians would have trouble passing this quiz beliefnet/Faiths/Christianity/Bible/Quiz-Is-That-Really-in-the-Bible.aspx we can be sure they dont know what 1 John 2:15-17 is and how it relates to Matthew 4:1-11 and Genesis 3 but I digress. Light has ABSOLUTELY NO fellowship with darkness (John 8:12; 2 Corinthians 6:14; 1 John 1:5-7) and you cannot serve God and money (Matthew 6:24) Watch this video if you want more information on the topic of New Thought, The occult, and Word of Faith etc. youtube/watch?v=wDuo6HCINcc My project is to read the The Science of Getting Rich and the The Science of Being Great and for lack of a better term rip them to shreds bibically. Followers of Christ are called to do this with false teachings in order that we may save some from falling into their trap. (Matthew 7:15; Romans 16:17-18; Galatians 1:6-9; Ephesians 5:1-21; Colossians 2:8; 2 Timothy 4:3-4; Titus 1:10-15; 1 John 4:1) Be on the look out, this should be interesting.
