Looks like I owe a public apology to Jimmy Akin, whose feet are being scorched by Christopher Ferrara over an eight-year-old blog post of mine, which was published on Jimmy Akins blog. Due to global updates to his blog over the years, my original byline was lost and Jimmys inserted. But does the fact that the post is nearly a decade old stop Ferrara from digging it up to try to score points? Nope. remnantnewspaper/web/index.php/fetzen-fliegen/item/1081-reading-francis-through-akin Someone who fancies himself a careful researcher into All Things Neo-Catholic might be expected to pick up a phone or type out an email to ask Jimmy if that old post still represents Jimmys current opinions. Jimmy would then have informed The Careful Researcher that the post wasnt his but that of former co-blogger and current colleague, Michelle Arnold. But, hey, then Ferrara would have had to argue with me and not be able to take shots at someone with Jimmys name recognition. If you happen to know Ferrara, feel free to point him to this correction.
