Looks like another good day of surf on our beaches today. Wind early is W-SW producing clean conditions on our southern headlands with the open beaches worth a look. The swell is SE. The main breaks around town will offer the better waves on the incoming tide during the afternoon. Wind will be light all day but will swing to the SE. A high pressure system is currently centred over Bass Strait, while a weak low pressure system is moving slowly eastwards over the Nullarbor Plain. Winds over New South Wales coastal waters will be generally northerly until Friday as the low moves slowly southeast to the vicinity of Bass Strait, while an associated pressure trough will move across New South Wales from Wednesday night. On Friday night and Saturday the low will move into the southern Tasman Sea, and a more west to southwesterly wind shift will extend along coastal waters. Winds: South to southwesterly 10 to 15 knots becoming variable about 10 knots in the early afternoon. Seas: Below 1 metre. Swell: Southeasterly 1.5 metres, tending southerly 1 to 1.5 metres during the afternoon. Weather: The chance of thunderstorms this morning. coastalwatch/surf-cams-surf-reports/nsw/port-macquarie
