Looks like corporate America has answered the major question posed - TopicsExpress

Looks like corporate America has answered the major question posed by obamacare. Their futurecasts are saying the future for Americans is part time-theyre not gonna pay for health insurance and the answer is not to hire full time employees. Fun stuff. But what we need is to characterize employment here in the US. Now for a historically correct characterization: The US was envisaged as a free market system. That meant participate if you want, dont if you want, or live off the land or do anything or trade anything for anything or sleep all day-who cares. Then the Whiskey Tax Rebellion happened, and the men selling the whiskey held out to pay taxes until the army arrived. And at that moment they proved the US was an participatory open market system-participate if you want or dont, your choice. But if you get wealthy, things like national defense can ask for some of your stuff (not money per se). but you still had no obligation to participate. Around the civil war, the US Supreme Court was facing cases about income tax-as the executive government wanted it in the form of printed or minted cash. The judges told gubment to eat a dick, as that would make the US a compulsory open market economy, which would leave the US in worse shape than it was before the Revolutionary War. SO the US remained participatory open market, meaning you could do anything you wanted and until you got rich nobody cared...Then came WW I, and the US was thrown into industrial aged war production, and suddenly US currency was envisaged as something that no longer reflected the human endeavor and material exchange that moneys made conveniently openly traded, but now elaborate schemes were devised that set criteria for basing money on other values, making moneys more politically complicated to mint. Gubment then told Americans to eat a dick-taxes were compulsory. By the the 1920s the US was a compulsory open market system, with dire consequences for non-participation. In most industrialized towns, a women could be lobotomized or sterilized if she was seen in public unemployed. And not holding a job took on new connotations of failure to pay a host of taxes or civic responsibilities. By WW 2, many realized that compulsory participation was a sin, and the US declared Freedom from Want as a main objective of WW 2. Flash forward, and now corporate America is refusing full time work for Americans-theyre not paying obamacare health insurance...Good fun... And of course, the US military is printing money for Free Market to win the fight.. https://youtube/watch?v=T7W3Z1_1QMg
