Looks like everyone has a sad story today, I found Lola Pistola (imp) dead this morning after foaling on Sunday, only had the vet here yesterday to plasma the foal and asked him just to do an internal as she had a slight discharge, no more muck on the glove than what you would expect for a mare post foaling. She was up and about and came for her feed last night but lost her life during the night it seems. She was an older mare and the dam of peptos pistol that Todd showed. Have put an SOS out for a nurse mare over here so hope one turns up, in the mean time, Playin With Mac (Quixote Mac x Playboy Samantha) is sharing her milk a bit at a time (and she is not happy about it ) so the little one has a fighting chance. Thanks to all who has respoded to the posts over here, it great when friends and people you dont even know try to help. Gives you faith in what we are doing, Cheers Ricky Glen.
