Looks like home got here ahead of me. I keep flipping the TV channel in my room to see if theres a news station that isnt going to bang my head with home. Nothing doing. Seeing and hearing Nigeria constantly reported in the same registers seriously jars my drink lobes, apologies to Baba of the famous white mane. It takes some serious getting used to. I need to get used to the expression, Nigeria and other crisis-ridden spots in the world such as... This morning, I am told that I am going to be ferried to Johannesburg for radio and TV interviews. Ah, finally, I am going to be able to talk about the conference that is starting later this evening and get some air time to do some chest beating about my lecture. Er... er... Prof, Im sorry, youll be talking about Nigeria and Boko Haram, not about the conference and your lecture, my minder tells me. I didnt know when I let out a damn, Nigeria, e tun le mi de bi!!! Come again, Prof. Never mind, I tell my amiable South African minder. Let me just grab some breakfast before I go and talk about Nigeria and Boko Haram.
