Lord I thank you for fighting against those that fight against me. I thank you for using your shield to defend me against my enemies. I thank you for drawing out your spear to stop those that persecute me. Those that seek after my soul shall be confounded and put to shame. Those that devise my hurt shall be turned back and put to confusion. They shall be as chaff in the wind. The angel of the Lord shall persecute them. Let destruction come upon them unawares. Let the nets my enemies have set for me trap them and into destruction let them fall. I thank you for rescuing my soul from their destructions. Let them be ashamed and brought to confusion that rejoice at my hurt. Let them be clothed with shame and dishonour that magnify themselves against me (Psalm 35:1-28)
