Lord help us all, but please Lord look after the Navy I so loved for 24 years. I wore the Chiefs uniform with pride and professionalism and knew from day one the awesome responsibility I had undertaken the moment I put on that Chiefs uniform. The months leading up to my initiation cemented that in my mind forever. Now all you will have is a first class petty officer making the next higher rank, and until the CPOs that were initiated are gone, I expect that there will be friction in the mess when these new E-7’s are not so warmly welcomed in to the CPO community. To me this is just another example of the liberal, socialist, attempt to destroy anything that might not look politically correct. I am proud of my Naval Service but this I know this for sure, I would not and could not serve in a service that has completely lost its bearings and moral compass.
