Lost Hiker Located on October Mountain Last evening, October 10, 2014 at approximately 7:30 p.m., the Lee Barracks received a report of a lost hiker on October Mountain. October Mountain is primarily in the town of Lee. At 16,500 acres, October Mountain is the largest state forest in Massachusetts. The Lee and Cheshire Barracks both sent troopers to assist in coordinating the search, as it was already after sunset.
