Lost a dear friend Taylor Negron. Taylor and I first met when I featured for him at the Grill 93 in Saugus and we became great friends immediately. My first trip to LA I stayed with Taylor and he drove me to my taping of Friday Night Videos. He was the first person to hire me to write for him. He gave me excerpts from journal and asked me to turn them into bits. I vaguely remember writing a bit about how he as so privileged that when he tried out for water polo the other people got mad at him because he brought his horse into the water. Cant remember the details or context. But a few years ago I ran into Taylor and he recited the bit word for word as I had written it. He had a fascinating and unique comedy mine. He was an artist who expressed himself in so many mediums. Painting, plays, essays. He was a gem in the comedy world. I will miss him and am eternally grateful for his kindness and generosity. I wish I had met more people like Taylor in my life.
