Lost and found: A year and a half ago a customer ordered a Care - TopicsExpress

Lost and found: A year and a half ago a customer ordered a Care Bear hat. It sat on my library table waiting to be picked up for months. Finally, I moved it to my bedroom. It was in a Walmart sack, but one day suddenly it wasnt there. I thought I had accidentally (or my husband had) thrown it away. It was LOST. Today when I was looking for my LOST swimsuit for our upcoming anniversary retreat, I FOUND the Care Bear hat in our closet! Still in the Walmart sack. The other good news is I also FOUND my swimsuit, hiding under some of my husbands jeans, in HIS drawer. I had already gone through all the dresser drawers a couple of days ago. I guess I had seen the skirt of the swimsuit poking out, but had mistaken it for a pair of dress slacks. I was behind the wheel and ready to go downtown to pick up my Chuckers meds and to also buy some lemon drops for my cough when I happened to glance at my right hand and see that my sapphire ring was missing. Oh, man! Another ring LOST. A couple of months ago, I LOST my mothers amethyst ring that we had bought her the Christmas before she passed away. It was a dark time. I couldnt think of anything else but finding that ring. Finally, Chuck told me that stressing about it would not bring it back. If it was gone, it was gone, and if I still have it in the house somewhere one day Ill run across it. Hes a smart man, but its still not easy to let it go. I got to Walmart and FOUND this great yarn on clearance. Last week I finished a baby cocoon that someone had ordered for her granddaughter, due in August. She wanted a fuschia colored yarn. The only yarn I had that color was Red Heart, and I wasnt happy with the end result. She said she loved it, but I thought it was too light and loopy. I only charged her seven dollars for it, plus a few dollars toward shipping, but still I wouldnt recommend to anyone to make a cocoon, using a size Q hook and not use a bulky yarn. I bought four blue, four pink and two white. I only wish I could have bought all they had. (I had already started one with a Bernat blue/green/white yarn I bought yesterday.) Now I am SET--so. . . if anyone needs a baby cocoon definitely let me know. I have the pattern, I have the hook and now I have the perfect yarn. The price for these cocoons done in the chunky Bernat yarn will be $30, plus shipping. Even with the clearance yarn, the yarn cost $7.50 for each cocoon. I returned home and FOUND my sapphire ring on the side table by my chair. I dont remember taking it off, but maybe I did. It was loose, but I dont think it was loose enough to fall off. Anyway, thats my LOST and FOUND day! :-)
