Lot of fun this afternoon, cooking in the kitchen listening to all 1:37mins of the Leningrad Cowboys 1993 gig in Helsinki with the Red Army Choir. The whole concert is a hoot - if you have not heard it highlights include Mary Hopkins 1969 ballad Those were the days, which is of course an old Russian folk song, the Red Army Choir leading on the Beatles Yellow Submarine (which makes me think of Gordon Urquhart, of course) but my fav is their cover of Sweet Home Alabama.
