Lots of athletic looking people at nursery today. Callum from A* sports put the children through their paces to see if they lived up to the sports gear, The Potter and Carroll room children have been using ball play this morning to encourage balance and co-ordination. They have also had some time in the sensory room exploring the hide and find pockets, the balls of different sizes and weights, and the discovery boxes. The Twain room have been very busy making sensory bottles today, the bottles include gold paper, glitter, trays from chocolate boxes. They have also had story time and played in the house corner. This afternoon they have their class with Fiona from Monkey Music, always a firm favourite. There was a major incident in the Andersen room last night, our poor cleaner knocked over Chips fish tank and it broke, so we arrived at nursery this morning to find poor old Chips in a casserole dish! The Andersen room children have set him up in a new home in a recycled fridge drawer. It has been very popular as the drawer magnifies Chips and he looks HUGE! Elsewhere in the department the children have been busy making Volcanoes with junk modelling, playing in the role play corner and have also put together their own Art Gallery, please come and see the children are very proud of it.
