Lots of questions still linger about this shipwreck excavated in New Zeeland. Some of my questions are why the article contains so many contradictions and doublespeak. I suspect much of it was written by academic or government archaeologists trying to justify their work. Only archaeologists would describe a seriously butchered wreck as seriously modified with a chainsaw to allow placement of a culvert and say things like researchers werent able to identify any information relevant to the wreck event.
