Louis van Gaal doesnt want Kroos/Fabregas. Van Gaal has his own transfer plans.. Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal has scratched the names of Toni Kroos and Francesc Fabregas off of his transfer wish list for the summer, as he focuses on the capture of Bayern Munich star Bastian Schweinsteiger. According to report Dutchman, who is preparing to make large scale changes to the first team squad which faltered under David Moyes for the majority of the last campaign, has set his sights firmly on the German international, and isn’t fazed at all by the idea of not getting Fabregas or Kroos. Both of those men were initially believed to be high on the agenda in terms of the players set to be bought in to Old Trafford before next season, but Van Gaal, it would seem, has very different ideas to those of his predecessor. What’s more interesting is that Schweinsteiger could be available for as little as £10million this summer, as Pep Guardiola doesn’t rate him as an invaluable asset, particularly with youngster Thiago Alcantara waiting in the wings to stake a claim for a first-team spot. It’s thought that Van Gaal is ready to take advantage of this and make the 29 year old his first blockbuster signing as United manager. Having already been publicly rejected by Kroos, who last week confirmed that he still expecting to be a Bayern player as of next year, it’s clear to see why Van Gaal isn’t pressing that issue. However it may come as a surprise to many that United won’t be doing their best to sign Fabregas, as only this weekend was it claimed that he was in line to be their top transfer target.
