Love came down to Earth on that first Christmas morning. It fills me with awe and wonder when I consider the enormity of that amazing birth and the unbelievable sacrifice that Christ our Lord made for me and you. Christmas day I spent in bed with strep throat. That gave me time to reflect as I read and reread my devotionals and portions of the Bible. I also reflected on my local church (Petersburg), the Cumberland Presbyterian Church around the world, the C. P. Womens Ministry and the Church Universal. I am proud to be a part of a church and denomination that serves with love and devotion to Christ. As I visited several groups this past year as C. P. Convention President, I saw and felt that love. In the coming year, I hope to visit synods, regions and groups. May God bless each one of you. My prayer for the coming year is that God will use me to share His love, mercy and grace with everyone that I meet and that we all will reach out to those who are misused, abused, in need and lost.
