Love is Kind - How many times did you speak unkind words to your husband or wife because of anger and resentment? How many times did you point out his/her mistakes? I could not see the plank in my own eye because I was too busy trying to get the speck out of his! (Matthew 7:3) Love does not envy - How often did you envy your husband/wife? Does your low self-esteem makes you very jealous? How envious do you perceived his or her role in life as easier than yours? Love does not boast and it is not proud - How many times do you belittle or shame your husband or wife because he could not do the things that you could do? Please note that you cannot do half of what he or she can do! Why can you not see that you both complimented each other in your strengths and weaknesses? This is the way that God intended it to be. Love is not rude or self-seeking - How many times did you tell your husband or wife that he/she was selfish when it was you that was being selfish? Love is not easily angered - Is easily angered your my middle name! Why is your husband or wife fear you? Im sure that he/she feels like he.she is walking on thin ice whenever he/she is around you. At time you will be angry about his or her lack of communication, but not realising that he or she is afraid to speak! He or She cannot express his or her feelings because there are consequences from you for whatever he/she says.
