Low Water Action Plan - Moving of B Dock this Monday. The RCYC - TopicsExpress

Low Water Action Plan - Moving of B Dock this Monday. The RCYC Board of Governor’s has been working on an action plan to deal with the low water in Lake Ray Hubbard. The plan includes moving Dock B and C into deeper water and adding to the existing North breakwater to protect the docks. The first phase will commence next Monday, 10/20/2014, weather permitting. B dock will be moved eastward approximately 45 feet and remain parallel to C dock as a temporary measure. This will still allow sufficient room for boats to sail around the end of B dock as well as improve water depth under B. Power will be off on B dock during the move and for several hours after. If this affects your boat we apologize, and ask for your understanding. We may have to move some boats out of their slips to reduce the mass of dock being moved. We will make every effort to return moved boats and tie them back to the dock as we found them. If you wish to move your own boat, space is available along both sides of the T dock as well as anchorage in the harbor. Boats stored on boat lifts should remain on the lift in the full up position. If you have questions regarding your particular boat please contact Al See at Al@AlSee If you wish to help move boats off B dock please contact Michael Hoye at 214-354-3638.
