Low should leave even if Germany win World Cup, says Ballack The former Bayern Munich midfielder feels the pressure on the 54-year-old will be too great after this summers tournament and thinks he should resign following it .... Michael Ballack believes Germany coach Joachim Low should depart the post after this summers World Cup in Brazil. The 54-year-old took over from Jurgen Klinsmann as coach of Die Mannschaft in 2006 and took them to a third place finishes in the World Cup of 2010. Former Bayern Munich and Chelsea midfielder Ballack feels that, regardless of how well Germany perform in the showpiece in Brazil next month, Low should leave his post immediately afterwards. The contract with him was extended so that no annoying questions arose during the World Cup, the former Bayern Munich player told Express. This was wise from the German Football Association but I think that Low should not continue at this juncture. The pressure and burden on him would be too great. [Even if they win] hell probably go because theres no possible improvement after winning a World Cup. Germany have been drawn in Group G for the tournament in Brazil, alongside Ghana, USA and Portugal, who they meet in their first match on June 16.
