Lower Antelope Canyon, Page AZ I shot all of these with a #2 full ND filter (plastic Cokin) and a polarizer on to lengthen my exposure times to assist in saturating my colors. I had to go two days in a row because shooting between the crowds is not always an efficient system with a tripod low to the ground and sprawled out in the narrows...but I am really thrilled with the depth of color...... I used a partial gradient filter (ND) too when I need to diffuse the light coming from the top of the canyon but shoot low in the narrows to try and avoid it.... Nikon 800E...Mostly 1/2 to 1/15@F11 or F16...then a mix of Photomatix and PS6 post to play with curves and hue a bit. The tripod is for stabilization however the sand often caused blur anyway as it is so fine in there.. a note, Kens Tours allows photographers in the canyon free to shoot to your hearts content, for 2 full hours. I prefer to shoot first thing in the morning. Not always the best light beams, but I love the rich colors.... Please feel free to add me as a friend to see more of my work and I encourage helpful comments and suggestions on how to make my work stronger... GO NIKON!!!
