Luke 12:30-31 What is it that we seek in this life? Is it riches, fame, position? In verse 30 Jesus tells us what it is that the world seeks and also tells us that the father already knows that we need certain things. He will give us those things that we need. As we saw in Luke 11 Jesus tells us ask and it shall given. Prayer is a way of seeking after God, spending time studying Gids word is seeking meditating on Gods word is seeking. In verse 31 Jesus tells us seek after kingdom of God and these things shall be added unto you. Most of us spend so much time trying to obtain material wealth when Jesus shows us that the things of this life are temporal, looking at verse 33 we see that things of this world will not last but Jesus also tells us that the treasures in heaven will last for eternity. We should therefore seek after that kingdom by being fruitful, letting our light shine and abiding with our Lord and Savior. God will take care of us while we are here but let us focus on sharing his love with others in order that we might store up those treasures in heaven. Luke 12:34 really sums it up as Jesus tells us For where your treasure is,there will your heart be also. Spend time in Gods word, spend time in prayer. Fall in love with Christ and seek him with your whole heart. God bless.
