Luke 12:48b For everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required; and to whom much has been committed, of him they will ask the more. Hmmm.(deep sigh)....and having completed The School of Disciples, with so much encouragement and prayers during Passing out Parade and then awaiting Graduation, and having a great testimony (ask me when you see me or inbox me) of the faith God has given me, and excitedly awaiting to see Daddy GO, Pastor Adeboye on Graduation day. There is a feeling greater and fearful than all the above and that is that I am a Disciple! For 12 months, I have been taught in every way possible about the character/ways of life of a Disciple of Christ. Yes our guiding Scripture is John 14:12. Yes, Greater Works, yes I am a disciple, and so Lk 12:48b comes to mind since POP, reality dawning on me...it cannot be business as usual again. Much has been given, imparted to me in a year. God sees and knows all these. I have been tested by multiple choice and written examinations to be sure I have a good understanding of all I have been taught and I have done well in all. So what is my excuse. I now know! I now have a deep understanding of what it is to be a follower of Jesus Christ. Even more than when I gave my life to Christ and in my faith journey than ever before. And this morning, I am in a very solemn mood thinking about the much that will be required of me and the more that I would be asked and I can only ask for GRACE to abound. GRACE to be and to do.....in my words, thoughts and deeds... GRACE to be a DISCIPLE OF JESUS CHRIST....a true and beloved one... Not by power, nor by might..... More, more of Your Spirit O Lord.. You are my Helper...
