Luke 19:28-38; 1 Corinthians 4:15 The World has formed a tendency of celebrating mothers more than fathers. I love my mum, I miss my dad but this Easter my thoughts are with the selfless fathers, the great men who do great things yet we as children and wives consider their input as a right!! I am reminded of the colt that carried Jesus! To all fathers who identify with the colt that Jesus rode on, the lord bless you. The colt was not known by name, its location and status was obscure, and when Christ rode on it suddenly became transparent, it gave up its rights of being celebrated. In that obscurity, its assignment in life overtook being celebrated. The master said The Lord has need of. . . Fathers, you are needed! Your assignment transports and brings many to their destinies, their purposes, to security in life, to heritage and inheritance! You are not as unwanted as you may think. And yes the world has made you feel that way. Mothers take all the accolades! We love our mums but it is time we showed our love to you! The world needs fathers whose contributions in life are beyond cheers and celebrations. Selfless and determined to transport us to our destinies, to our purposes and visions. Our women may be great moms and instructors in life but they will never father us. . . (1 Corinthians 4:15). . . Ye man of great valour, you are needed! This Easter, even as you Marshall your family for that Easter service, for that holiday, for that treat, know that you are great. Your family may not say thank you because they think it is a right, but keep on. . You are needed. We may applaud the well dressed secure wife, the graduating children, the marrying children etc but we choose to remember that on your back were the petals and royal robes of excelling and bringing many to excellence laid!!! Happy Easter to all the selfless, unconditionally loving, no celebration craving fathers!!!
