Luke 24:13-35 - Please read On the Road to Emmaus Good morning to those who understand the story On the Road to Emmaus, to those that believe in God and to those whom I hope will one day believe that Jesus died on the cross so that we may be forgiven of our sins. On my journey to strengthen my relationship with God, I have read On the Road to Emmaus several times. This story is about two men walking on a road together on their way to Emmaus (A Town outside of Jerusalem). While walking, an additional man began walking with the men, but they did not recognize the man. This led me to think about what happens on my road. Wednesday, I was driving to McDonalds and on my road I saw someone driving that I had not seen in a while. My initial thought was to blow the horn, then smile and wave. Unfortunately, I failed to blow my horn, wave or smile. I regret my opportunity because I had an opportunity to smile and wave, which could have simply brightened this persons day and as we all know, Blessings come in large and small packages. In regards to the story “On the Road to Emmaus”, the men continued their walk with the man instead of disallowing the man to walk with them. Upon reaching the town, the man was going to continue his journey but the men offered the man an opportunity to stay with them, in which the man accepted. The man ate dinner (broke bread) with the two other men and the men recognized the man as Jesus. Let us always recognize our Road to Emmaus so that we may be Blessed and that we can Bless others by telling others our on experiences with God. (THOUGHT OF THE DAY BY FREDRICK MILLER).
