Lyme and other tick-borne diseases are a huge and worsening problem here in New York Sate. A new law aims to help patients and their doctors by prohibiting the state board of medicine from investigating complaints of substandard care “based solely on their recommendation or provision of treatment modality that is currently not universally accepted by the medical profession.” Some people think this will help sufferers get the treatment they need, whilst others think itll encourage medical quackery.
