M E M O R A N D U M TO: The University Community FROM: Fr. President DATE: 8 August 2013 RE: Fiesta Activities for this Year ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- After consultation with the President’s Council, the Jesuit Community, trusted members of the Board, and most especially the leadership of the Samahan of the Colleges relative to ADDU Fiesta celebrations this year in honor of Our Lady of the Assumption, in the light of the current security crisis, I have arrived at the following decisions: The Grade School and the High School will go on with their celebrations in the Matina Campus as scheduled, except for the High School’s “Campus Pop” event, which is postponed to Saturday, August 24, 2013. The Joint GS and HS Fiesta Mass will proceed on August 13 at 8:00 a.m. August 14 and 15 are holidays in the College in honor of our Patroness, Our Lady of the Assumption. On August 15, a Fiesta Mass will be celebrated in the College Chapel. All are invited. August 16. Kadayawan Holiday (Presidential Proclamation 630) By agreement with the Samahan, the college celebrations of Fiesta are postponed to the evening of Saturday, September 7 and Sunday, September 8, the Feast of the Nativity of Mary. The Samahan will restructure the Fiesta events to fit into this schedule. There will be no class for the colleges on September 9, 2013. For this reason, the dates of the College midterm exams are herewith re-scheduled to August 31 to September 4. Please note that after September 4, all exams are strictly proscribed; no exams are to be “arranged” between teachers and students at this time. For your information and guidance.
