MAGATHA is well directed film , welcome to alternate genres Vinod Anantoju :) the story is fine, but the clear winner is screenplay which is complimented well by sound design and lighting techniques ...Acting is almost good but with minor glitches here and there .It is great that you are experimenting with various genres rather than playing safe, but still your old school emotional portrayal is major backbone in this film too...I personally believe that underlying emotion is the core essence of every of your films and that is the success mantra of your films .The cinematography is good enough and I like the low angle rotation and the dual way Dutch angle very much .The editing is crisp..... I dont like to be diplomatic as always and there are few minuses too , a psychological or horror film can be emotional but on top of that it need consistent acting , I am not saying that actors under performed(actually they did a splendid job ), but there is bit inconsistency in their acting and few scenes they are brilliant and in few others they are very dumb .the directors vision of climax is good enough , but some how on screen it doesnt match with the rest of the film ..The translation is bit haywire and abrupt and acted poorly ( only last scene after jump)... Must watch to enjoy and to learn :) ,you passed with piñache yet again buddy
