MAIM On Wednesday 27 November at about 10:00pm a male person who identified himself as Jasinto VERDE of Sarteneja village, Corozal arrived at Caledonia Police Station and reported that on the same date at about 8:30pm he was walking on a road in Caledonia village with his cousin when a male person whom he knows as Adrian ROSALEZ of Caledonia village arrived in a Grey Tacoma pickup, took out a machete and inflicted a single chop wound on his left palm. Investigation carried out revealed that earlier that night VERDE was involved in an alteration with ROSALEZ which led to a fight. Rosalez left and returned later with the machete and inflicted the wound upon Jasinto Verde. Jasinto VERDE was transported to Corozal Community Hospital where the doctor certified his injuries as Maim. Police have since formally arrested and charged 39 year old Adrian ROSALEZ of Caledonia Village for the crime of MAIM.
