MAKE ME A GOOD LISTENER Dear God, i know this neighbor needs a listener. She has so many problems with her husband and her children. We all need to share our problems. We talk it over, resort our ideas, talk some more, clarify feelings, and soon we begin to find our way. But Father, I feel so inadequate. This problem is too great. It is too complex for her and too difficult for me. I will pray for her. I will comfort her. But help me, Lord, to lead her to someone who truly understands. To an objective, loving person who has the tools to pry apart the debris and find the meaning in all this problem. She needs such a person to love and direct her. Help up both to find someone who can help her and to rely on you when troubles overwhelm us. Judith Mattison
