MAN UNDERGOES EMERGENCY SURGERY AFTER BEING SHOT A man had to undergo emergency surgery at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital earlier today after he was shot multiple times by an unknown assailant. This is according to Police Public Relations Officer, acting Assistant Superintendent David Welch. He says the man, whose name has been withheld by police, was shot while at the junction of Brittons Hill New Road and Bonnetts New Road in St. Michael around 11:30 a.m. ASP Welch says he was rushed to the QEH by private vehicle for treatment. Meanwhile, traffic was forced to divert as police cordoned off the area. ASP Welch says lawmen are at trying to determine the motive for the shooting.
