Old, tired, skin and bones and his coat eaten up by some kind of dermatitis. A cherry eye too... I tap gently on his shoulder and scratch a bit his head. Longfellow wakes up, lifts slightly his head to see..who is there....I leash him. He gets himself slowly together and lets me help him out of his den. He smells yeasty . His nails are so long. His body is sunken in the middle and he walks slowly. He eliminates right away and picks up a little his pace. We sit around his area to take some pictures and get acquainted. Longfellow seems to appreciate and roastbeef and caresses. He needs a lot of mending. Longfellow basically needs a hero who will love him for what he is right now, care for him and make a miracle happen. Longfellow is at the Manhattan Care Center waiting for his very special friend and savior
