MANS BODY FOUND IN A VICTORIAN LAKE IN THE STATES NORTH-EAST: Police divers have recovered the body of a 55-year-old man who went missing in Lake Nillahcootie earlier this morning. Police were told that the Box Hill North man entered the water to retrieve his ‘tinnie’, after it appears to have drifted from the bank, just before 10am. The man’s body was located at 4.40pm, approximately 50 metres off shore, not far from where he was seen entering the water. Lake Nillahcootie is situated about 36km south of Benalla in Victoria’s north east. Police air wing, local police and SES personnel assisted in the search.
