MANY CORPORATIONS ARE TAMPERING WITH TIME CARDS!!! Because so many are paid with debit cards or direct deposit, nobody actually sees their hours, gross and net pay. This makes it EASY for management and upper management of these corporations to shave minutes, hours, even days off someones time-card without them noticing. Then if the employee only gets paid once or twice a month, its even easier. Who keeps track of their hours precisely? NOBODY. How do I know this? Because I was a manager for a major corporation that SHOWED ME HOW TO DO THIS. Of course they showed me that our profits had to far exceed labor costs. AND the labor was NOT allowed to punch in early (clocking too many hours) EVEN IF THEY WERE ASKED TO COME IN EARLY. Yeah, no shit. So I was TOLD to go in and adjust the time cards to reflect the proper hours. Pretty shitty. I refused to do it, told upper management--who in turn called me a trouble maker--then cut my hours to NOTHING. They wouldnt fire me cuz they knew the problems it would cause. They just stopped allowing me to work. Tried an attorney; even with names and witnesses proving they dont pay people properly, they still didnt take the case. So now this corporation will continue to get away with it. If you work for a big company BEWARE....and count your hours!!
