MAPAS Coordinator Auckland University Closing Date : 29 Jun 2014 MAPAS Coordinator Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences Vacancy Number: 16343 We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic person to join our Vision 20:20 - Māori and Pacific Admission Scheme team; in a proactive support role for Māori and Pacific students. This exciting role is responsible for coordinating support for Māori and Pacific students who are studying within the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences programmes. You will be responsible for the administration, management and coordination of admission, academic and pastoral support for our foundation and undergraduate students. You must be able to: · Understand the issues students are facing while they are studying at the University · Understand the University and tertiary sector framework · Be able to relate to students and their needs · Be able to collaborate and work in partnership with academic, clinical and other key staff · Have excellent time management and organisational skills · Be flexible · Have a high level of experience in administration and communication skills so as to allow you to work effectively. It is essential that you hold a: · Relevant undergraduate degree · Current full drivers licence. Your ability to work independently as well as a team player is essential. You will have a demonstrated ability to build effective relationships and co-ordinate events. This is an opportunity to take responsibility and be innovative in a stimulating position that demands critical thinking as well as a practical approach. This is a fixed term, full-time position.
