*******MARGAM CASTLE*******SOUTH WALES *****28TH MARCH 2015***** £40PP ( £10 deposit) Margam Castle is a Grade 1 listed tudor gothic mansion built around 1830 and 1840 for the Talbot family. It has been built on a site occupied for around 4000 years, and from the 11th century until the dissolution of the monasteries was an Abbey. Is is situated in the heart of the ‘Margam Country Park’ in ‘Port Talbot nr. Cardiff, Wales’. It is reputedly one of the most haunted castles in the UK. It is believed that one frequently encountered spirit of a gamekeeper that worked at the castle for many years. It is thought that he was murdered by a poacher and his spirit still rages around the grounds today. The spirit of the gamekeeper has often been seen purposefully ascending the Gothic staircase leading the castle. His presence has come forward regularly with other investigators, all of whom have insisted his spirit is consumed with rage over his unjust killing. The sound of giggling children is heard frequently through the long corridors and dramatic rooms of the family areas. There have been reports of children in Victorian dress seen drifting in and out of doorways and mischievously moving objects (poltergeist activity) Do you dare to join us in this beautiful but sinister building?
