MARK YOUR CALENDAR: Plan to call US EPA May 8 to reopen fracking water investigations! The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) abandoned investigations into drinking water contamination by gas extraction in Dimock, PA, Parker County, TX and Pavillion, WY. These communities have been suffering from pollution, and yet the EPA stopped investigations at all three sites in 2012, even though there were indications of a strong likelihood of pollution from drilling and fracking related activities. More information will be sent on May 7 and 8. Join the nationwide CALL-IN on May 8 asking EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy to reopen the investigations for the sake of families and especially children in these three communities. Please share this information with your friends and neighbors! We want to help those suffering here in PA and other communities. See the attached comments on the discontinued EPA Study in Dimock given by Elizabeth (Betty) Tatham at the EPA’s public hearing in Arlington, VA. Betty is now our V.P. for Issues and Action (Natural Resources and Public Health). Attachment #2 are the comments sent in writing by Vera Scroggins, a resident of the Dimock area and strong activist who has filmed fracking related activities there. Last, are my own comments which I gave orally and in writing at the EPA’s public hearing on May 7, 2013 in VA. THANKS FOR MAKING THAT CALL ON MAY 8!
