MARKET NEWS The FTSE 100 rose 1.21% to close at 6,101.91 on Tuesday as central banks played down fears of an end to quantitative easing. Still up at 6155.37 as we speak The S&P 500 rose 0.95% to close at 1,588.03 on Tuesday as the index rebounded from a nine-week low after the release of positive US data. The Nikkei 225 average fell 1.04% to close at 12,840.80 on Wednesday following concerns of a credit squeeze in China. The 10 year Gilt yield is at 2.54%. Sterling is trading at $1.5431.
