MARKOWITZ INVITED TO SEAHAWKS MINI CAMP ! Go Abe!!! The Super Bowl Champion Seattle Seahawks today have invited former USC (Punahou) Center/Guard, Abe Markowitz, to their 2014 Rookie Mini Camp (May 16-18). Markowitz received his itinerary and an airline ticket with departure from Honolulu Intl. Airport at 8am tomorrow, Wednesday, on Alaska Airlines. Markowitz conditioned under professional sports trainer, Chad Ikei, Ikei Sports Hawaii, near Abes Hawaii Kai, Oahu home. Markowitz was the last remaining player of the 2013 Trojan Football Team from Carrolls 2008 Rose Bowl Champion team and Carrolls final 2009 USC team. In Abes last USC game, as starting Center, he was named the 2013 Royal Purple Las Vegas Bowl Offensive Outperformer Markowitz NFL relatives include Jessie Sapolu (SF 49ers), Frank Manumaleuga (KC Chiefs), Brandon Manumaleuga (Rams /Chargers), Faaesea Mailo (NY Jets), Mike Iupati (SF 49ers) and more distant relatives Rey Maualuga (Cincinati Bengals), Kaluka Maiava (Browns/Raiders) Abes grandfather, Larry, was a USC RB/DB (50-53), crosstown his father Barry, a UCLA Linebacker (71-74). Abes aunt, Linda Markowitz Gilbert, is a longtime Seattle resident and Seahawk fan. Abe played at the Seahawks stadium for Punahou School in the 2006 Emerald City Classic, and for USC against UW in 2012.
