MARTIN, Raymond F. age 60 of Dayton, passed away November 30, 2013. He was born January 9, 1953 in Honolulu, HI to the late Charles and Loretta Martin. Ray is survived by his children: Raymond C. (Leah) Martin, Andrea Martin and Melissa Martin; 5 grandchildren: Lily, Julia, Vanessa, Ethan and Kamea; brother, Chuck (Corena) Martin; and many dear friends. Ray was a veteran of the U.S. Army; retired as a Homicide Detective from the Dayton Police Department after 25 years of service. Ray donated countless hours to F.O.P. Captain John C. Post Lodge #44. After his retirement, Ray owned Martin Landscape and was a member of several V.F.W and American Legion Posts. Ray was a loving father and grandfather with a heart of gold and will be missed. Visitation will be held from 5-8 pm on Thursday, December 5, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, where the funeral service will be held at 9:30 am on Friday.
