MASSAI IN MALAWI?: ...passing through Mzuzu city yesterday late in the afternoon on the reliable AXA Deluxe Coach which I had boarded at Karonga town on my way from Dar el Salaam where I went on a personal errand, from the window I saw three men droned in the Massai attire. “Massai they are”, I concluded, well quite a rare sight in Malawi. But then, I recalled earlier on when the day was still young upon crossing the Tanzanian boarder on foot into Malawi’s territory, a Massai man went past me and I kept close pace. Crossing the Malawi boarder post together with the Massai man I proceeded into the Immigration Office to have my passport stamped but he did not. I saw him cross the vehicle road block that is by the Office. Well my passport was stamped, out I went to get some cash from the ATM before continuing my journey. At the ATM, the network was down as such I had to wait patiently. The Massai man reverted past the vehicle road block as he headed back towards the Tanzanian side. Well, after seeing three Massai men in Mzuzu city and what I witnessed at the boarder, I wondered “do the Massai people want to live with us here in Malawi?”...
