MATCH REPORT - Tickhill cc v Thorncliffe cc, Saturday 14th September. After winning the toss Tickhill asked newly promoted Thorncliffe to defend. The men from Chapeltown amassed a challenging 247 for 6 with James Brown top scoring with 52, junior Jack Hulley hitting his first 1st team half century with 51 not out and Mike Alexander carrying on his fine form with 44. Pick of the Tickhill bowlers was J Court 3 for 38. Thorncliffe then worked their way through the home sides batting line up with James Brown taking 5 for 50 and 1st team debutant Stuart Phillips wrapping up the Tickhill innings with a fantastic slip catch. The only real resistance coming from S Barson who hit 73 off only 38 balls. This was the 10th win on the trot for the men from the Crucible Oval in a fantastic season. Bring on 2015
