MAX IS FINALLY GOING TO SEE HIS FAVORITE BAND IN TORONTO, JULY 25. - TopicsExpress

MAX IS FINALLY GOING TO SEE HIS FAVORITE BAND IN TORONTO, JULY 25. Max is 8 years old and was born with Down Syndrome. He is our heart and soul. For eight years Max has been introduced to guitar and music from his daddy. It has been his life since he was about ten months old. He and his dad go down to the “studio” and jam at least three times a day. Music has increased his speech and comprehension more than anything therapy can offer him. Music and guitar are literally what he breaths for. Two years a go daddy introduced him to Avenged Sevenfold and for two years now there has been no chance of redirection 😊. Although Max is limited in speech and comprehension, he has no problem singing along to most songs; especially “F@#king Nightmare.” Numerous times this year he has managed to smuggle his cd into the school and demand at least one song while all his classmates are out of the classroom. We go for a ride in the van and “Abenged Sebenfold” is coming with us, due to this I often find myself singing the songs in my head. Do I accept this in my life? (keep in mind my favourite band is “Train”) Of course I do, this band is what my son thrives on. I have often went down to the studio to find my son sitting with his guitar on his lap and Avenged Sevenfold playing while he tries as hard as he can to strum along to the song and master it. Other times I go into his room and he is watching “Live in the LBC” with his bag of chips and when I walk in, all I get is the metal sign. We haven’t been able to cut his hair because; and I quote “he won’t look like Sebenfold anymore.” His daddy cut his own hair and Max was a little mad and dwelled on it for quite awhile. Max has an Avenged shirt and a pair of ripped jeans that he wears only because they are “Sebenfold” (Syn wears ripped Jeans most videos he has seen of them). I’m not a bad mom, I let my son have all this (the sometimes inappropriate (for an 8 year old) lyrics, the jeans, the hair etc..) because I am a mom who loves seeing my son happy. Life is too short. Max has conquered open heart surgery at 21 months, is limited in the sports that he loves because of his neck and laxity issues (although these do not stop him from head banging away to his favourite A7X songs), and he is also limited socially because he just doesn’t understand boundaries and rules and can be easily distracted putting himself in danger. So Im asking all my friends and family to share his story and picture. Lets get this out so that avenged sevenfold might make his dream a little better with a shout out or meeting! #HailToTheKing
