MAY 24th SURF FISHING TOURNAMENT CHANGE! The weigh in location has been changed from Varn Park to the River to Sea Park up at Marine Land. The reason for the change is simply a matter of space. With less sand on the beach than in years past, especially during high tide, and limited parking, there is insufficient room at Varn for folks and vehicles. Our club, with 42 signed up to fish, has outgrown VP for tournaments. The location of the River to the Sea park pavilion (same place as last Fall’s surf tournament weigh in) is essentially just south of the Marine Land boardwalk and on the opposite (west) side of A1A. The entrance is clearly marked and the parking lot is underneath the large communications tower. For those who have not visited that park, there is ample parking, plenty of covered picnic tables and restroom facilities on site. All else regarding the tournament remains the same as stated in the May edition of our Chum Line.
