MAY GRACE, MERCY, AND PEACE BE WITH US FROM GOD THE FATHER, AND FROM JESUS CHRIST, THE SON OF THE FATHER, IN ALL TRUE LOVE. Do not keep talking so proudly or let your mouth speak such arrogance, for the LORD is a God who knows, and by him deeds are weighed. Let those who love the LORD hate evil, for he guards the lives of his faithful ones and delivers them from the hand of the wicked. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and shun evil. The LORD detests the way of the wicked, but he loves those who pursue righteousness. By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the LORD men depart from evil. The fear of the LORD is to hate evil; Pride and arrogance and the evil way And the perverted mouth, I hate. I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me. Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way. Hate the evil, and love the good, Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good. Abstain from all appearance of evil. Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. The Lord will punish the world for its evil, the wicked for their sins. I will put an end to the arrogance of the haughty and will humble the pride of the ruthless.
