MBA is no longer important to me. While Im enjoying my study - TopicsExpress

MBA is no longer important to me. While Im enjoying my study abroad, a number of Thais from all walks of lives are fighting to protect our motherland with their lives. Not overstating... with their lives. A number of Thais, men or women, old or young, rich or poor, living in the country or abroad, have risen to fight against the governments attempt to legislate the unlawfully-extended blanket Amnesty Bill. This bill will cancel out all verdicts from 2004-2013, by civil or criminal or administrative laws, for all politicians and protesters from every side, with a claim to settle the ongoing conflict. But most benefits will be geared toward to exiled former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra, his families, and his supporters. Thaksin... who leveraged populism to polarize the whole country Thaksin... who instigated the public through a series of cross-continent video calls Thaksin... who was confiscated due to corruption involvements Thaksin... who is fueling the incumbent government led by his sister. During these several years, he never stops when his claimed call for democracy turned out to be violence and deaths, as his radical red shirts supporters set fire in Bangkok and even killed the opposing side. He never tries to prove himself in the courts; instead, he devotes to overthrowing them and the very fundamentals of Thailands legal system via the governments plan of the Amnesty Bill. Thats the reason why Thai people are demonstrating again. We hate chaos and rampage, but we are standing up for righteousness. for our country. for our future descendants. At this darkest moment, were forced to the dead end. Media have long been controlled by Thaksin and now the government. They distort the truths and make protesters become criminals in the news. Some scholars and university professors have been bought by money or pride in an ability to question the system. They abandon building future generations; they care for dominating public opinion. And Thai Police.. are not there to sustain justice anymore. Most of the police support or even join the red shirts, ignoring them when vandalizing civil properties, watching them threaten doctors and nurses, and letting them use guns and explosives to kill any opposing sides including those in peaceful civil disobedience. But those Thais never give up. Theyre coming out of every corner of the country to vanquish this evil, although it can mean their lives. Now I feel shameful every time I tell star stories about leadership, because theyre far from true courage demonstrated by those people. Is an MBA still useful.. when I can only sit behind my keyboard and see my country burned from politicians and their followers greed to ash?
