SAYED ZIAUDDIN JEDDAH: My Care Hala defeated APF by 4 wickets with 9 balls to spare while Islamic Development Bank downed Pepsi Deccan Nights by 6 wickets with 8 balls to spare thanks to a fine Hattrick by Mohammed Farooque and AOT humbled Usman Gems by 7 wickets with 33 balls to spare in the Hyundai Naghi Motors sponsored Premier T20 tournament here at WPCA. ASIAN PLASTIC FACTORY (APF) BATTED FIRST 163 FOR 9 IN 20 OVERS LOST TO MY CARE HALA 164 FOR 6 IN 111 BALLS BY 4 WKTS WITH 9 BALLS TO SPARE. Asian Plastic Factory (APF) opted to bat first against My Care Hala started well with Khurram Karamat in fine touch hammered 45 runs in 18 balls with 7 fours and 2 sixes as he added 50 runs in 19 balls for the first wkt while later left hander Waqas Ausaf fought alone in the middle to blast unbeaten 73 in 46 balls with the help of 2 sixes and 5 fours as the wickets tumbled at the other end with none from the middle order crossing the double digit as Abdullah Essa (9), Nadeem Amin (5), Maqsood(7), Wajahat(5) and Abdulqayyum made (4). Amjed took 2 wkts for 20, Hussain Bhatti 2 wkts for 22, Imran Yusuf Gullu 2 wkts for 23, Tariq 1-21 and Faheem 1-33. My Care Hala in response achieved the winning target of 164 for 6 in 111 balls with 9 balls to spare as Kashif Shafeeq batted with grit and determination to stroke 70 runs in 44 balls studded with 7 fours and a six as he added 59 runs in 38 balls for the third wkt with Amir Sajjad who scored 27 in 18 balls with the help of 2 sixes and a four after Qamar Abbas was out for 12 in 11 balls with 2 fours, Moazzam Shoukat 20 in 13 balls with 4 fours as Babar made 3. Amjed made 16 in 13 balls with a four and a six while Tariq remained unbeaten on 5. Wajahat Shah grabbed 4 wkts for 36, Adalat 1-23 and Abdullah Essa 1-17. USMAN GEMS BATTED FIRST 125 FOR 9 IN 18 OVERS LOST TO AOT 126 FOR 3 IN 75 BALLS BY 7 WKTS WITH 33 BALLS TO SPARE. Usman Gems won the toss to bat first against AOT could post only 125 for 9 in allotted 18 overs as Qaim Khan top scored with 36 runs in 27 balls with a six and 2 fours while Azher made 14 in 9 balls, Ali remained unbeaten on 10 off 12 balls while Hashim Khan and Zeeshan made identical 11. Skipper Nasir Iqbal claimed 3 wkts for 25, Faisal Iqbal 2 wkts for 35, Qaiser 1-15 and Zeeshan 1-24. AOT chasing 126 runs to win reached the target with 7 wkts in hand and 33 balls to spare. Faiq Habeeb slammed unbeaten 51 runs in 27 balls with the help of 9 fours whereas Aqeel stroked 40 runs in 29 balls with a six and a four as two of them stitched together 56 runs in 39 balls for the 3rd wkt after Gulam Abbas (6) and Naeem Shah (4) returned back with 30 for 2. Faisal Mehmood stroked 20 not out in 9 balls with 2 fours. Azhar 1-25 and Zahid Anwer 1-37 were the wicket takers for Usman Gems. PEPSI DECCAN KNIGHTS BATTED FIRST 156 FOR 9 IN 18 OVERS LOST TO ISLAMIC DEVELOPMENT BANK (IDB) 160 FOR 4 IN 100 BALLS BY 6 WKTS AND 8 BALLS TO SPARE. Pepsi Deccan Knights winning the toss elected to bat first lost wickets in a heap to be tottering at 46 for 6 through Farooq who took 4 wkts along with the hattrick in the fourth, fifth and sixth ball of his 3rd over to crush the Pepsi Deccan knights and along with Ramazan who grabbed 2 wkts to put opposition on the back foot. Aleem coming at # 5 scored with 35 in 33 balls studded with 4 fours while No 9 Ayaz smashed unbeaten 54 runs in 28 balls with the help of 2 sixes and 4 fours to get to some respectability of 156 for 9 in 18 overs . Others who contributed are Najeeb 11 with 2 fours, Ather 11 with one six and Afsar 10 with 2 fours. Farooq grabbed 4 wkts for 18 runs, Ramzan 2 wkts for 28 while a wkt each was claimed by Yaser 1-24, Waseem 1-18 and Abdullah 1-22. ISLAMIC DEVELOPMENT BANK (IDB) in reply got to the victory post of 160 for 4 in 100 balls with 6 wkts and 8 balls to spare to win their second match of the tournament as earlier they had won against Usman Gems. Ashfaque top scored with 61 in 36 balls with the help of 2 sixes and 6 fours as he stitched 63 runs in 42 balls for the opening partnership with Khalid Butt who made 36 in 20 balls with a six and 2 fours. Ramazan stroked 20 in 11 balls with one four and he also added 57 runs in 27 balls for the second wkt to take their team to 120 for 2 by the 12 over. Adeel remained unbeaten on 20 off 15 balls with 2 fours while Farooq made 6 and Waseem 7 not out to cross over the winning line. Shoaib claimed 2 wkts for 16, Ather 1-21 and Sohail 1-32.
