MEDIA RELEASE: PEEL REGIONAL POLICE Friday August 1st 2014 - 2:20pm Peel Police - Investigators Seek Public’s Assistance in Identifying Pump and Run Suspect Brampton - Investigators from the 22 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect responsible for several pump and run thefts in the Brampton area. On July 19, 2014, at approximately 9:35 p.m., the complainant observed a green Pontiac Montana at the pumps. The suspect pumped a quantity of gas and then left without making any attempt to pay for the gas. The suspect is described as male, South Asian, slim build, wearing a blue shirt and dark pants. He is balding and has facial hair that is stubble. Surveillance video has captured the image of a vehicle, which appears to be a green Pontiac Montana with Ontario plate BTJA247. Investigators from the 22 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau are asking anyone who may be able to identify this male, or who may have information about this matter, to call them at (905) 453-2121, Ext. 2233. Information leading to the identification of the suspect may qualify for a cash reward.
