MEMPHIS GRAND CHAMPIONSHIP UPDATE: (note Saturday time change) Friday March 21 we will have a Practice with a payout. We will get 20 cars qualified for the Grand Championship Finale (4 in each class). Features will be lined up by a unique draw with Modifieds going for $400 to win, Stock Cars $300, Sport Mods $300, Hobby Stocks $200, and Sport Compacts $100. If car count dictates we will run 2 features in any class with both features paying the posted amount. If 2 features are ran in any class top 2 in each feature will be locked into Saturdays show. Car show starts at 6:30 with practice from 7:00 to 8:00. Features will kick off at 8:00 in all classes. All classes should get 2 full sessions of practice before their feature. Pit passes are $20 and grandstand tickets only $6. Saturday we have made a time change since most cars will be there from Friday and temps at night get pretty chilly this time of year. HOT LAPS HAVE BEEN MOVED TO 4:30 WITH RACING AT 5:00.. Five classes will be racing for their piece of the $20,000+ purse. Modifeds, Stock Cars, Sport Mods, and Hobby Stocks will be racing for $1000 to win. Sport Compacts will be racing for $500 to win. Some classes are racing for five times their weekly track payout. One win in Memphis could equal 5 feature wins in prize money at their local dirt track with only 1 trip to the racetrack. Trophies in each class will be a custom made check out of metal by WCM Metalworks that will look nice in your trailer or shop for the season. I think everyone has Spring Fever and we hope to give the fans some much needed medicine after a very long Winter. Last year the Fall Nationals produced the best racing of the year in the Midwest. We hope we can give you one of the best shows of the year at the beginning of this 2014 season.
